The 2014-2015 school year has begun, and my first little one is now a senior in high school.
It happened in the BLiNK of an eye.
It takes my breath away as I think of it.
I'm keeping myself busy and happy shooting as many events as possible. I see so much through my lens.
It tickles me to watch all the little critters that used to run around my ankles on the kindergarten black top, competing... some for their last season of high school sports.
As they play on the courts and run on the fields, I try to be invisible, but they catch my eye behind the camera. Those big, tall, young men flash me silly smiles that put them right back on the black top. Some of the toothless little imps that flitted around are now fabulous, beautiful, young ladies radiating through my lens.
Wow. Just wow.
I was grinning from ear to ear sitting in the grass shooting these little ball players at the BC Rec Dept games. Time goes so fast. I remember my little ones rolling in the grass and picking up ladybugs while the games went on. Time is so precious... I have so many special pictures, but it takes time to get them out. I hope all my BC friends will check in frequently to see what gets added! Maybe the whole "register thing" can help me get the word out. I'm sure I'll figure it out in time... because we ALWAYS think we have time...
Who in the world has time to BLOG?!?!
But I see I have a BLOG now. So much to do when you become a .COM!
I'm having an absolute ball taking pictures. I wish I could learn the computer portion of it while I was sleeping...because I am losing much sleep these days.
My goal: get the pictures of other people's kids on the computer, then get the pictures of MY KIDS printed out and in the photo albums! I'm only 2 years behind on that. Sheesh. Then there is the scrapbook situation...
I'm glad my first child is a girl, who may appreciate a scrapbook a bit more than my second child. My boy, he may be lucky to have a box of photos, clippings and tickets stubs.
I have tried to do things EVENLY the last 15 years, buying two matching frames, making two matching Disney books, having a second plaster kit for hand prints so each kid did one at two years old... on and on and on.
Yah. Type A.
Well, time for everyone to get over it. As long as everyone gets fed and feels love, I believe that is going to have to be EVEN enough.
